The Department of Rasa Shastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana deals with the pharmaceutical science of Ayurveda, focusing on the preparation, processing, and standardization of Ayurvedic medicines.

This para-clinical department integrates classical pharmaceutical principles with practical training in the formulation of medicines derived from herbs, metals, and minerals.

Rasa Shastra covers the purification and processing of metals and minerals, while Bhaishajya Kalpana emphasizes the formulation of herbal medicines in various dosage forms such as Churna, Kwatha, Asava, Arishta, Taila, Ghrita, and Avaleha. The department ensures that students understand the principles of safety, efficacy, and quality control in Ayurvedic drug preparation.
