Government Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital is permanently affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. The University is the statutory authority responsible for:
  • Prescribing and approving the academic curriculum for the B.A.M.S programme
  • Conducting university examinations and evaluations
  • Awarding degrees to successful candidates
  • Monitoring academic standards, teaching quality, and institutional compliance
All academic activities of GAMCH, including admissions, examinations, internships, and degree certification, are carried out strictly in accordance with the regulations and ordinances of the affiliating university.

Regulatory Authority

The college is recognized and regulated by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), Government of India. NCISM is the apex statutory body responsible for:
